Is there anything more wonderful than enjoying what is probably the most special time of the year, your vacation, in a pleasant, family-style atmosphere amid our beautiful Pinzgau mountains? We are in an exceptionally quiet setting, yet still close to all the goings-on (only about a 4-minute walk from the town center, with all its shopping, indoor pool, disco, etc.).
 
In summer, Kaprun's ideal location provides our guests with a base for great outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling, skiing, etc. - or you can simply kick back, relax and let your soul soar free. Fascinating sights, such as the Krimml Waterfalls, the mighty Grossglockner, high-alpine reservoirs and Sigmund Thun Gorge, are all just a short distance away.

In winter: skiing right to our front door!

We are located directly next to the Maiskogel ski area, now delighted to offer exceptional family skiing with the construction of a new four-seater chair lift and installation of new snow-making equipment.  You can drive straight to the stop for the shuttles serving the slopes of both Zell am See and Kitzsteinhorn (to the Baumbar car park - approx. 100 meters away) - or make your way there on foot (approx. a 4-minute walk).
